1) The father of my children is missing (he went to visit his family out of the country and was caught by military men.  It is unknown at this time if he is still alive).

2) I am an orphan.  I have no family except for my husband's, who are out of the country in search for him.

3) When you have small children, it is difficult to have more than 1 job.  Therefore, I was laid off from the only job I had.  It is very difficult to find something right now.  I have been temping, but it is not always enough to pay bills and rent an apartment.

4) Things happen in life that you can not control.  Obviously, you are well off.  Otherwise, you would not appear to be so mean towards me.  I try to think positive, treat people with respect and be honest.  I only want the best for my children, who have no fault.  I'm not a drug adict, I'm not an alcoholic and I'm not a smoker.  I strugle to find a job everyday.

 Please don't judge me so harsh.

I just need a couple grand to pay off fines so I can leave this damn state free and clear I am tired of being forced to break the law of driving while suspended just to get to work, screw washington state I want out of its system thanks I did my jailtime and volunteer work for that DUI two years ago I lost my last job and my last place so I had nothing to pay off the fines this last random traffic stop yesterday lost me my job again so other than financial obligation nothing is keeping me here

If you are fresh out of the military, even with a bcd or oth you should qualify for unemployment. I dont know what state you are in but in my state that was roughly $400 a week/ $1600 a month. Unemployment is not welfare (not that that wouldn't be an option) but rather unemployment is money you paid in while in the military. Also I know you probably dont want to hear this but my husband got out a year and a half ago and we made the terrible mistake of moving to a small town that shuts down in the winter, we have made it just fine and our kids are healthy and we all have a roof over our heads,(mostly because we both work 2 jobs) but anyhow he is going back in active duty. If you were navy it is a pain to get back in so if you think you might go with the reserves. as an e-5 he gets almost 300 a month for his one weekend a month plus dental/health benefits. EVen though getting out of the military is one of the hardest things it is also one area in which there are to many options. Just start researching different veterans associations and what not. With military (or ex) help is all over keep looking and good luck.

Hello....I just googled how can I get help with money, and this website came up.

I am in a real bind right now. Ive been on my own since I was 12 yrs old, I'm now 22. I have 2 children, a 5 yr old boy and a 1 yr old girl, neither father is in the picture, or care enough to help any. Ive been through many ups and downs. I've had my own place a few times before, but I've lost all of them and everything that I owned in them.

I've came up from a rough background, but I've always tried my hardest to succeed. I've tried for 2 yrs to get into the nursing program at Meridian Tech. Center, but was unable to get in the first few times due no money for a $500 deposit, but finally this year I got in and just started going 5-07-08. I'm in the process of moving to a less expensive apartment closer to the school, because gas money is so expensive, but I dont have enough money for the $300 deposit on it. My lease is up at the end of may and I'm terrified that we'll be on the street again and I'll have to drop out of school.

My children are stuck in a home daycare i believe to be unsafe because i dont have the $100 enrollment fee for the nice daycare in town. I worry sick about them everyday, I cant even think straight in class.

My vehicle breaks down all the time. I have to crawl under it everywhere I go and beat on the starter just to get it to start.

Somebody please help me...

To all whom think it can't, be done.... You are WRONG... was 16, when I had my first child.. I went to school & I worked part time.. I've raised 3 children on my own. (not  solely on my on)  I HAD HELP FROM THE LORD.. The distance between a problem & a solution, is the distance between your knees & the floor. I am 37 now, with 2 grandchildren & a 3rd on the way.. All in my home.. I struggle, everyday.. But GOD keeps my head above water.. Every state has programs, to help out. It takes time & patience, but when you get the programs started, they truely are a big help...  You got, foodstamp program, for food, Hud & section 8 for houseing, plus section 8, will help pay alittle on your bills, AFDC (thru the foodstamp program) it's a check to help out, there child care programs thru them as well, where they pay for a sitter, so you can work.. Mississippi has LEAPHA, out of Jackson to help pay on you bills.  But even with all these programs, if you don't have GOD, your lost for sure..... I'll be praying for each & everyone..

Me and my 1 month old daughter are on the streets living in a shelter. My daughters father passed away  in a motor vehical bicycle accident 2 weeks ago and i have no where else to turn. Im only 18 years old and i have no family.  the goverment wont give me more then 300 dollars a month. Thats not even enough for rent let alone everything else needed to suport me and my daughter. First of all, I did not ask anyone for help...I provide for my family...if I gave up my van we would be screwed as far as transportation, we don't have bus services here and my husband wouldn't be able to get back and forth to work...we do not own a house, we are renting and it's pretty cheap as far as that goes...I am one of the honest ones, I didn't ask for help, I was just defending those out there that need it!! I'm not saying that I don't need the help but I'm not going to ask for it...I'm too proud!!! We never have anything left over after the bills to save but we will survive and pull ourselves up out of this hole!! God bless you!!

perhaps you should stop and think for one moment about what you just said! Some of us, even though dirt poor, keep our internet for several reasons 1) to improve our lives through college education 2) to educate our children when they are home schooled and 3) because it is our ONLY source of entertainment.

Just because I am poor does not mean I will allow you to come on this site and begin insulting people. And if you must know, my internet service is free, and the computer was donated to me...so nothing but the little extra electricity costs me anything.

First know that God is providing, but you must believe he is. Start by doing something in faith that says I know and believe God is providing for me. If you need something else, I recommend going to the library and asking for any books by Catherine Ponder. I will keep knowing and seeing you provided for and doing well.

I told every one that i knew to check the site out and I even wet on to give them my info that i put in and that is where my help came from all of my co-workers. because they new what i was facing and wanted to hepl me and that was a way for them to help with out letting me know but I truly belive that is how i was help.

No because I was not unemployed I was just off work for a little while i received food stamps and got help from modest needs and now I am back at work full time but if it was not for them I would have been on the streets with my girls. Modest Needs is a blessing.

Hmmmmmmmmmm I haven't asked for anything from this site other than advice or resource recommendations but yes, I'm upside down on my bills right now. Yes, I have internet and have kept it because it is a resource that can help me with my situation. It's 10.00 per month and is also my families only entertainment. Before you cast judgement.....think. There may also be those who are accessing the internet in places other than their own home. Ya think ? E-Mail accounts are free.

Sad but true, unfortunately that is what the world has become. With so many scams out there it's not that hard to understand. What someone needs to start is a charitable organization that collects the assistance the distributes it after confirming the need. We do need to help people here at home for a change instead of always sending our money over seas. There are people here who sincerely need help and I'd like to believe there are still people in America willing to offer a hand. You're right though, if people are looking for anything more than advice you probably won't find it online.

Hi have you tried filing for unemployment  or for public assistance since you have children I would start there first thing monday morning and tell them its a emergency you might even be able to file online. I'm not really sure whats availible therei do know that have medical state aid so they must have more than that to help there people out now if you lived here in Glendale Az I could tell you where and what to try but there's another place you could try and I know there not just here and thats san vicent depaul they do help with rent, electric, food and so forth but there is a limit they will help with..so try them ok..and good luck!!! I am no sure of exact names, but many business are looking for at home data entry people.

 If they require you to pay something before being an employee, than it's not legit.  A real job doesn't mkae you pay to start.

 go look on www.craigslist.com, search for you city or area on the right side of the page, and then do a search for jobs.

Also google and see if there are any support groups for your daughters condition.  Often times, support groups will have inside information on aid and other organizations that could assist in caring for you daughter or providing you with employment.  And you could consider finding a college or high school student that aspires to would with the disabled.  Many times they will need an internship, and you could ask them to volunteer their service in exchange for intership hours (but you would have to contact their teacher for approval).

We are having trouble making ends meet and I cannot work outside my apartment because I care for my 18 year old daughter who is disabled and totally dependent on me for her care. Hi, my name is Heather I am married with 4 children ages 12 down to 4. Our story is long, but would be willing to share. We need a help. Unlike so many here we have been able to save 2/3 of our rent, but still fall short. Our rent total is $950, we need $300 to pay it, and are lost as to where we can get some help.   Im Kal, I am 23 years old living in NYC I have two children Ben 6yrs and Soley 5yrs and my fiancee Jennifer (family of 4). I found out I was having a baby with my 18 year old girlfreind and i was 16 at the time. I stepped up in providing the best I could when times got rough and  still was spending time in school. I still graduated two years later and still had financial problems. My daughter was on the way and I needed money to get my own place fast. I was to young to the cooperate world supposdly to handle a well paid job in construction that I was qualified for. I've gotten my certificates in HPD, many trades, licences in boiler systems, Fire safety director...etc. I seem to have bad luck and I was told many times I look to young to handle such a position. I made the mistake in getting desperate for my families needs and started commiting crime in getting money and ended up dealing and got locked up in the system for 5 months. I got out on probation for 5 yrs. It was getting even harder to get a job with a felony in your record and attending programs and probationary visits. During the 5 yrs of probation I managed to get an apartment with a stable job as a handyman, rent is up and jobless. My company has went under new management wich is (Rose management) and fired most of the latin people that our "union" couldnt do anything for including myself. Sorry for the long story but my fiancee thinks Im a wonderful husband and father and Im just looking for someone who can help me get a well stable job in NYC as a Superintendent or in construction.
